The Ravenshoe/Mt Garnet Rifle Club shoots competitions every Sunday (9am muster for 9.30am start) at the Ravenshoe Shooting Complex located on Cemetery Road in Ravenshoe. Competitions are shot at distances of 300, 400, 500, 600 yards and 700 & 800 meters with one distance shot each week. We shoot several categories of rifles: Target Rifle, F Standard, F Open, F/TR and Sporting-Hunting. The Club welcomes everyone who would like to come and try our sport. Overcast with light switching winds, mirage and late morning rain. Results for double 600yds at the Ravenshoe range today are as follow: Target Rifle – S. Durham (Mareeba) 101.10. F Standard - M. Wood 115.2, M. Wilson 110.3, D. Holden (visitor) 96.2, L. Wilson 54.1 (half round). F Open - P. Padgett 111.6. F/TR – C. Allman 115.8, J. Anderson 115.6, B. Gianasi 114.3.
Well done to Darryl on his first try at long distance shooting.
